I’ve done many things, but winemaking was not one I expected. My wine-making journey began humbly in the laundry room of my east TN “hangar-minimum” home. What started with simple kits quickly grew into a passion—one that won me my first local competition and ignited a love for blending creativity, community, and craftsmanship.

Over the years, I’ve explored juice buckets, collaborated with wineries, joined vintner clubs, and then began to infuse ports with fine Bourbons. Oh my, was I hooked. Each bottle became a way to mark life’s special moments. But Valor is different.

I created a medal winning port to honor Officer Stephen J Jones, aka Jonesie, whose heroic actions—embody the deepest meaning of valor: selfless courage in the face of danger. Stephen’s quiet strength reflects the bravery of all who serve and protect our communities.

Crafting Valor Port was a treat. It’s not just a wine—it’s a tribute. Today, I am honored to be able to share this story of Valor and winemaking with Andi and Jesi of 7Stories.
